Parks made out of bound for youth on V-Day

It was not just VHP and Bajrang Dal volunteers but even the police and GHMC had played spoilsport with young couples on the occasion of Valentines Day today.

The VHP and Bajrang Dal volunteers had warned the youth, both boys and girls, not to copy the western culture, by celebrating the Valentines Day. Besides issuing a warning to the parents to prevent their children in participating in Valentine Day gaiety, the political moral police also threatened to forcibly perform the marriage of the couples if found in parks, pubs, malls etc.

However what has come as a big surprise for the romantic youth was the action of the GHMC in preventing them from spending some time in the parks. On the advice of the police, the GHMC authorities have locked the gates of Indra Park, Sanjivayya Park, Lumbini Park and Botanical Gardens till 4 pm.

Taken aback by the GHMC authorities in making the parks out of bound for them , the youth belonging to the AISF lodged a protest demonstration before Indira Park. They arrested by the police and later released.

As warned by them the Bajrang Dal volunteers forcibly performed the marriage of a young couple in the Sai Baba Temple in Kushaiguda. Likewise another couple was also forcibly married ion Kacheguda.

However the Valentine Day turned dreadful for a man in Karimabad of Warangal district. A married man, Ramesh, tried to tie the knot with his lover on the occasion of the Valentine Day. On coming to know about this, his wife along with her relatives reached the venue of the marriage and thrashed him black and blue and handed him over to the police.
