Not only land mafia but also many other mafia groups are active in various illegal activities in the city. But innocent looking Parking Mafia among them is involved in irregularities of crores of rupees. The parking mafia just like land mafia has direct access to the higher authorities.
Functioning at the various places of the cities, the earning of this group reaches its peak during All India Industrial Exhibition. But law enforcing agencies ignore the activities of this group and give them a chance to chisel the innocent public. During All India Industrial Exhibition this parking mafia collects exorbitant amount for parking but no one comes forward to check them. The main reason behind this is ministerial level authorities being a part of the “parking mafia”. This issue came to the fore since last two years.
Many vehicle owners complained that the petrol and diesel are being stolen from their vehicles despite that the parking mafia are allowed a free run. With the All India Industrial Exhibition just round the corner it is hoped that the public will be save from the exploitation of parking mafia since the higher officials of traffic police have become active ahead of ‘Numaish’ and are trying to tighten the noose around the parking mafia.
