Hyderabad, May 19: Burglars stole Rs10 lakh worth jewellery and Rs 14.60 lakh cash from a car near Punjagutta on Wednesday.
The incident happened around 1.30 pm when V Satya Hari, a realtor from Somajiguda parked his Tavera car at Erramanzil to cancel the bus tickets he booked to Vijayawada at Sai Ganesh travels.
Miscreants broke open the windows of the vehicle and stole the cash in the owner’s absence.
After taking the loan amount of Rs 10 lakh from one of his friends, Satya Hari had withdrawn Rs 4.60 lakh from State Bank of India’s Srinagar Branch, the Panjagutta police said.
Hari Prasad was about to leave to Vijayawada on Wednesday night but decided to drive to Vijayawada on Thursday morning, said the police.
The police suspect that the burglars might have followed him to the bank.
Panjagutta police registered the case and have alerted nearby police stations to nab the burglars.
