Mumbai, May 18: Socialite and hotel heiress, Paris Hilton, has appealed to help a young cancer patient. Hilton is asking for help through twitter for a young leukemia sufferer who is in desperate need of a bone marrow donor.
She has reached out to her online followers and has linked to official website of little Devan who is racing against time to find a donor who can help him undergo a possible life saving operation. In her post Hilton wrote that she is looking for bone marrow donors for, 4 yr-old Devan suffering from leukemia.
Hilton, who is a great-granddaughter of Conrad Hilton, founder of Hilton Hotels has generally been in news for all the wrong reasons. In 2003, she appeared in a controversial sex tape and also appeared with childhood best friend, Nicole Richie, in the television series The Simple Life.
She has done minor roles in films and also done modeling. She served a sentence in a Los Angeles County jail in 2007 over several legal incidents. She reportedly received a $100,000 advance payment for her autobiographical book, Confessions of an Heiress: A Tongue-in-Chic Peek Behind the Pose, co-written by Merle Ginsberg.
