Paris circus personnel kill escaped tiger: police

Paris: A tiger which escaped today from a circus in Paris has been “neutralised” by circus personnel and is now dead, police said.

Firefighters had been called around 1700 GMT by people who saw the animal in the 15th Arrondissement of the French capital.

Traffic on a street car line in the area was briefly suspended, but resumed with police authorisation.

After the incident Paris police wrote on Twitter that the risk had passed.
