With the New Year round the corner, the city youth gear up for carousing. On the advent of New Year the young boys and girls burst crackers, sing songs and dance. Various places of the city especially Tankbund and Necklace road are transformed into the hub of satanic activities. Drunk driving, eve-teasing and crime against women are at their peak during the celebration. Most of the revelers stand up on the top of car and dance madly.
Although Islam has no place for indecent behavior, vulgarity, even burqa-clad girls are seen at Tankbund and Necklace Road enjoying the festivity along with their boyfriends.
Parents should not allow their young children to go out of their houses on December 31, especially between 11 pm to 1 am. This is not only waste of money but there is high risk of fatalities taking place during New Year celebrations.
