Hyderabad: Parents of the private school students are bothered due to school constant fee hike. Apart from that they are prevented from entering the school premises. To discuss these issues parents are going to organise a State-level convention on October 15.
According to R. Venkat Reddy, National Convener of M.V. Foundation, the meet would ponder over issues like lack of facilities in government schools and constant fee hikes.
Education now a days has become a costly affair. Private schools in the city have been increasing the fee by 15 to 20 per cent each year. Private schools even charge heavily for school bus and other facilities. In some cases managements have doubled the fee in a year. On the other hand the government schools in the city do not have seating arrangements.
Mr. Reddy further said that there were several invisible costs that a parent incurred when his/her ward was studying in a private school. Hence he urged parents to unite to bring an end to capitation fee and mid-year and year-end donations.
