Parent’s of boy who died in school meet SSP

Ghaziabad: Parent’s of a nine-year-old boy, who died outside his classroom from head injuries after slipping, met the SSP today, three days after the incident, police said.

They urged the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) H N Singh to arrest the school principal and members of the management, they said.

“I have received an application from the parents of Arman Sehgal. They claimed that they are receiving threats of dire consequences, but they will not withdraw their case. the complaint has been forwarded to the Indira Puram police station for action,” the SSP said.

A police complaint was lodged by Arman’s father and legal action will be initiated against the named accused, he said.

Arman, a Class 4 student of a school at Indirapuram, died on August 1. It is suspected that he slipped and fell down outside his classroom, suffering severe head injury due to which he became unconscious, the police said.

He was immediately rushed to a nearby private hospital where doctors declared him brought dead, they said.

According to the post mortem report his death was due to head injury, the police said.

Gulshan Sehgal, Arman’s father, had lodged a complaint against the school principal and the management in which he alleged that his son died because of the negligence of management, they said.

He had alleged that the floor was wet where Arman had slipped, that the school management had destroyed and wiped the blood stains from the floor, they said.

Indirapuram police lodged an FIR against principal and management under sections 304 and 201 of the IPC. Probe is underway and the culprits will be arrested, the SSP added.
