Parents of B-Tech boy of Nizamabad donate his organs

Seema Tarun Rayudu, 20-year-old B.Tech student of Gopanpally village under Bichkund Mandal of Nizamabad District, met with an accident while traveling by a bike along with his friend on June 3. He was rushed to a local hospital and later to Global Hospital at Lakdi-ka-pool Hyderabad. But on June 6, Seema Tarun was declared brain dead.

On the brief counseling by the   Jeevan Dhan coordinator, the deceased’s father Seema Gangaram and mother Yashoda agreed to donate vital organs of Seema Tarun Rayudu to the Jeevandan. Accordingly, six organs — two kidneys, one liver, two heart valves, one lung — were extracted from the deceased’s body on June 7 and they were distributed to patients as per the guidelines framed by various sub-committees.

The Jeevandan appreciated the gesture of family members of Seema Tarun Rayudu of donating his organs to saving precious lives. (NSS)
