Hyderabad, June 06: The nomination papers of the four Congress and two Telugu Desam candidates in the biennial elections to the Rajya Sabha from Andhra Pradesh were found valid after scrutiny today and all the six candidates will be official elected on June 7.
The papers of Union Minister of State for Environment Jayaram Ramesh, former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Janardhan Reddy, V Hanumanth Rao and K D Seelam of Congress and Y S Chowdhary and G0 Sudharani of Telugu Desam Party were found in order after scrutiny, according to the Returning Officer and Legislature Secretary Dr S Rajasadaram here.
The six candidates will fill the vacancies to be caused the retirement of five Congress members and a CPI(M) member later this month. The Congress had renominated four of the five retiring members while the two candidates of TDP were first timer.
