Panic in Waqf Board on Publication of Ali Manzil Waqf Property in Siasat

Immediately after the publication of a special report in Siasat Urdu daily, the officers of the Waqf Board became active. On the instructions from the chairman,CEO of Waqf Board wrote a letter to the Sub Registrar saying that Ali Manzil situated at Chapel Road,Nampally bearing municipal no,5-8-87 admeasuring 1815.7 Sqyds is a property registered under Hisamuddin Trust and therefore it should not be registered in the name of a third party. The persons who approached for registration need not be entertained under 22-A of Registration act of 1908.Another letter has been written to the commissioner of GHMC.This property was registered in 1965.Its market value is nearly Rs 30 cr. Soon after the publication of the report in Siasat urdu daily, the officials of Jamaat-e-Sulaimaniya also became active and posted two security guards at Ali Manzil.

One Mr Venu said that he is a tenant in the said building for the past 46 years. Earlier he used to pay the rent to the trust but now he is depositing the amount in court, which clearly means that this property is entangled in legal litigations. The question is why do the officials of the Waqf board behave in a negligent manner. When investigations are made about the property it was revealed that the trust has another Waqf land admeasuring 509 Sqyds in the heart of the city which has malgees in which non-Muslim businessmen are conducting cloth business. The value of this property ranges between 20-25cr.Its Waqf record is as follows:
