When the prayer call for Zohar was pronounced from Makka Masjid, Police immediately shutoff the microphone step up by Ganesh Utsav Samithi near Charminar. The office bearers of the samithi lodged a protest on this action of the police. They staged dharna in front of Charminar Police Station. DCP of South Zone Police, Mr. Tarun Joshi immediately rush to the spot. The people who were following Ganesh procession got angry and tried to gherao the DCP. Mr. Joshi successfully satisfied the people and allowed the procession to proceed.
