Vijayawada, April 25:ACB sleuths late on Saturday nabbed Panchayat Secretary of the Pulipadu village of Gurajala mandal of Vijayawada district, Bogavarapu Kasi Viswanadham red-handed in his office when he demanded and accepted an amount of Rs 2,000 as bribe from the complainant to prepare and issue approved building plan in faovur of the complainant’s son.
The tainted amount of Rs 2,000 was recovered from the left side upper shirt pocket of Viswanadham at his instance.
Chemical test conducted on both hand fingers of the accused yielded positive result.
The tainted official was arrested and produced before the Court for Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases, Vijayawada.
