Hyderabad, July 7: A special court has pronounced B Prabhakar Rao, Panchayat secretary, Gajapatinagaram mandal, Vizianagaram district, one year imprisonment and 100 rupees fine on charges of demanding and accepting 500 rupees bribe from the complainant. He will get further 3 months imprisonment in case of non payment of fine. Anti corruption bureau caught him red-handed and produced before the court.
In a similar incident T Shankar Roa, executive engineer, Warangal district was sentenced to 6 months jail and 500 rupees fine for demanding and accepting 10000 rupees bribe from the complainant for approval of contractors bills. He will get further 1 month imprisonment on non payment of fine. ACB officials held him and produced before the court.
