TRS has started consultations with its leaders at village level to strengthen the party and to offer better performance in panchayath Raj elections. President of TRS, Mr. K.Chandrasekar Rao has interested the task of strengthening the party in districts and also to provide guidance in selecting the candidates for panchayat Raj election to Dr. Keshav Rao, General Secretary and Mr. K.Sri Hari, Politburo member. Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao want that TRS should be strengthen in all the villages in 10 districts of Telangana. Since Panchayath Raj election are held at village level, TRS has decided to concentrate its attention in rural areas. Following this strategy, a meeting was held in Telangana Bhavan with the presidents of Kareem Nagar, Warangal and Adilabad districts. Dr. Keshav Rao and Mr. Sri Hari sought information from the district level leaders and advised them to go to villages and identify candidates who are supporting Telangana. These persons could be made TRS candidates for Panchayath elections. Although panchayath elections are being held as non-political once but TRS wants to show its strength in the district. After Panchayath elections, local bodies elections are likely to be held. Mr. K.Chandrasekhar Rao has concentrated on strengthening the organizational structure of the districts. He has advised the workers not to be lenient in Telangana Movement. He told them to take Telangana Movement in villages also and in each village hoist Telangana flag. These Panchayath Raj elections have become prestige issue for TRS.
