Chaibasa, November 15: An under-construction panchayat building has been blown up by suspected CPI(Maoist) ultras in West Singhbhum district, police said today. Around 30 ultras equipped with fire-arms blew up the building at Dumbuli village late last night, Police Superintendent Akhilesh Kumar Jha said.
The police rushed to the spot and a massive combing operation was launched to track down the culprits, he said. Two days ago, the Maoists had set on fire a crusher plant in Manoharpur and torched three earth movers at Sonua in the district.
