Panasonic launches three new ‘Toughpad’ tablets

Hyderabad: Panasonic India on Tuesday announced three new models of rugged tablets to help the Indian enterprises handle heavy-duty workload.

Toughpad FZ-N1 comes at Rs 99,000, FZ-F1 at Rs 1,09,000 and FZ-A2 will cost Rs 1,20,000.

“The rugged handheld devices give companies an up-to-date, powerful and purpose-built solution that will improve efficiency, productivity and bottom-line performance for years to come,” said Vijay Wadhwan, Associate Director (System and Solution Business), Panasonic India, in a statement.

FZ-F1 and FZ-N1 devices come with 4.7-inches HD screen, along with 2.3Ghz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon.

FZ-F1 runs on Windows 10 IoT Mobile Enterprise and FZ-N1 on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop).

FZ-A2 Toughpad comes with 10.1-inch WUXGA sceen and runs the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with “Enterprise Security from Android for Work” feature.

The lightweight device is equipped with Intel AtomTM x5-Z8550 Quad Core processor with 4GB RAM and a 32GB embedded Multi-Media Controller (eMMC).

“Panasonic Toughpad enjoys a 65 per cent leadership in rugged notebooks and tablets. With the introduction of the new products in the Toughbook and Toughpad series, we aim to increase our market share to over 70 per cent”, added Gunjan Sachdev, National Business Head, Toughbook and Toughpad Division.
