Pamphlets On CBN Pada Yatra Released

TDP senior leader Ravulapati Seetarama Rao has said that the party had released 8 pamphlets on the main problems faced by the people in the state, to create public awareness on the issues and the government’s failure in addressing them.

The first one is on poverty which says that poverty alleviation was possible only through the TDP. The pamphlet says that poverty has increased from 28 percent to 50 percent and in the world hunger index for 88 countries, India stood in 66th place. In human development index, state stood in the sixteenth place and in the bottom in food security. The pamphlet stated the measures the TDP proposed to take to alleviate poverty like cash transfer scheme. The second pamphlet deals with scams perpetrated during the Congress rule incuding the 2G scam, Commonwealth scam, Coal gate, Robert Vadra scam, Jagan properties, mining mafia, Emaar, land acquisition for SEZs and corruption of Congress ministers to name a few. The third pamphlet mentions about how various institutions were destroyed in the state. The fourth one is about capping of gas cylinders. The pamphlet said the state government was even ignoring the central government’s direction to provide 9 cylinders at subsidy rates. It said while the TDP government had provided gas for every house under the Dipam scheme, Congress was forcing the poor to once again go back to the firewood days.

The fifth pamphlet is about the collusion between the Congress and the YSR Congress. It mentions how Jagan gave interviews to national TV channels that his party would support the UPA government at the centre and his party voting Congress candidates in the state Assembly speaker, deputy speaker and Presidential elections. It also mentioned about Vijayamma meeting the Prime minister and the government providing legal aid to tainted ministers and not talking about 26 controversial GOs.

The sixth pamphlet questions about the trustworthiness of the YSR regime. It questioned if not paying even half of the central government’s pension of Rs. 400 to the aged persons could be claimed as dependability. It also questioned if enjoying assigned lands in the Idupulapaya estate, construction of buildings worth Rs. 200 crores in lands where houses for 60,000 poor could be constructed and killing of 12 persons in firing in Sompet, Kakarapalli and Mudigonda.

In the seventh pamphlet, the TDP has sarcastically questioned if Sharmila was touring the state to explore further avenues of plunder. It also questioned if all this drama was being undertaken as there was no agreement on sharing of the plundered money between the Congress president Sonia Gandhi and the YSR Congress chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.

In the eighth pamphlet on the empowerment of the Muslims, the TDP mentioned about a sub plan of Rs. 2,500 for the minority community, 15 percent seats for them, financial help for muslim youth to pursue studies and aid for marriages of poor muslim girls.

Ravulapati said while the party chief Chandra Babu Naidu was creating awareness among the people at the ground level through his speeches in his pada yatra, simultaneous campaign was being undertaken through the paphlets, songs and CDs. (NSS)
