Paladugu accuses Congress leadership of doing injustice

Congress senior leader and MLC Paladugu Venkatrao on Thursday expressed displeasure over not getting minister post in various successive governments despite being a senior leader in the party.

Talking to media persons at the Congress Legislature Party Office, he said that all the Chief Ministers have failed to recognize his services and utilise him properly. He appealed to Congress High Command to re-organise the party and recognize the services of sincere workers.

Stating that he has suffered a major injustice in various Cabinets, Paladugu listed out Kotla Vijayabhaskar reddy, Y S Rajasekhar Reddy, K Rosaiah and Kiran Kumar Reddy under whose tenure his services were not recognized. “Though I am a senior and worked sincerely for strengthening the Congress, the party has not recognized my services and awarded me with a Cabinet Minister’s post,”

The Congress MLCs also said that the party could go to by-elections campaign without using former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy’s name. Describing YSR as a common worker in the Congress, he said that the party could go to election campaign using Sonia Gandhi leadership skills and UPA government’s policies.

Stating that one lakh acre of endowment lands encroached in the state, he appealed to government to make efforts to take over them from grabbers as they could generate an income of Rs 50,000 crore per annum. He suspected the involvement of TDP leaders in the alleged grabbing of endowment lands. (INN)
