Islamabad, January 04: Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari will head to the US on a 10-day visit next week at a time when his government has been rocked by a political crisis at home.
During his visit the begins January 12, Zardari would attend a memorial for late American diplomat Richard Holbrooke, the US special envoy for Afghanistan and Pakistan, who died last month, a report in Geo news said.
Zardari is also expected to meet US officials, including Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
The visit comes at a time when the PPP-led government have been mired in a political crisis with its coalition partners Muttahida Qaumi Movement and Jamiet Ulema-e-Islam pulling out of the government.
The agenda of the talks has, however, not been made public by the foreign office.
