Islamabad: Pakistani flags will fly half-mast in residential areas and government buildings across the nation on August 15, the Independence Day of India, which Islamabad has decided to observe as ‘black day’ in protest against its Kashmir moves.
August 14, the day Pakistan celebrates its Independence Day, will be observed in solidarity with the Kashmiris and their “just struggle for their right to self-determination”, a government notification said.
This follows the measures announced by the National Security Council on Wednesday after India revoked special status for Jammu and Kashmir. The NSC expelled the Indian envoy, decided to suspend bilateral trade, and review bilateral arrangements after India abrogated Article 370, which gave special status to J&K.
