Islamabad, March 23: Mine and bomb attacks have left at least one person dead and 11 others, including nine officers, wounded in northwest Pakistan, police say.
In the first of the Wednesday attacks, one person was killed after a cart went over a landmine planted to target police on the outskirts of Peshawar, AFP reported.
In the second incident, a remote control bomb in the Hangu district hit a police patrol pick-up, wounding 11 people.
“Nine policemen and two passers-by were wounded in this bomb blast. Taliban militants are responsible for this attack,” Abdur Rashid Khan, district police chief said.
