A political gathering was also organized at the occasion where JSMM leadership and Sindhi intellectuals spoke to the audience vowing to continue their struggle for Sindhudesh and paid rich tributes to the life and struggle of Sain G M Sayed.
The gathering was presided over by the exiled Chairman of JSMM, Shafi Burfat via audio link address.
He paid homage to the thoughts, ideology, and life of Sayed and analyzed the current political scenario of Sindh.
In his address, Burfat said “Sindh has always been an independent country and nation since ages.
After the creation of Pakistan, the hopes of Sindhis were not accomplished, and Sayed was the man who outstandingly rejected the religious basis for the existence of Pakistan and political course of engineered Pakistani politics.
He had declared the struggle for an independent secular, democratic state of Sindhudesh for Sindhis.
Speaking of the current political situation, Burfat declared CPEC as the death warrant for the cultural, economic, geographic existence of Sindhi and Baloch nations, deeming it a “Punjabi conspiracy to strengthen its imperialist expansionist hegemony over Sindh and Balochistan.”
He also termed CPEC as a “trigger of international conflicts and nuclear arm’s race in the region” and “strategic military design of Chinese aggression over the Indian Ocean” and demanded International Community and UN to take an immediate notice of Pakistani state’s brutality and atrocities against the Sindhi and Baloch political activists.
Burfat condemned the enforced disappearances of JSMM, JSQM activists and life sentences and imprisonment of JSMM activists.
He also condemned the persecution of religious minorities, expulsion, forced conversions, forced marriages of Sindhi Hindu girls in Pakistan instigated by the state institutions and the murder of Pashtun student Mashaal Khan.
He criticized the role of Sindhi Feudal in partnering the imperialistic designs of Punjab and genocide of the Sindhi and Baloch Youth.
“Pakistan is a sanctuary, sponsor and epicenter of the islamic extremist terrorism, it deceived the world in war on terrorism and the time for retribution is near,” he said.
“We, the Sindhudesh Movement, are now entering a phase of mature, decisive, disciplined politics to annihilate the designs of greater punjabi imperialism against the existence of historic Sindhi nation. Activists should prepare themselves to make sacrifices and commitment to the cause.” he added.
JSMM central Leaders Shabir Mallah, Hafeez Sindhi and others also spoke to the audience and condemned the state’s brutality, savagery and ongoing paramilitary operation against the nationalist activists.
A large number of Women also participated in the commemoration gathering of Syed’s 22nd anniversary.
Jeay Sindh Students Federation (Student wing of JSMM) also organized a membership and public opinion camp at Sann to spread awareness about the statutory sentence of capital punishments to its Chairman Hafeez Pirzado, activist Asif Baat and enforced disappearances of its activists and collective rights of Sindhi students.
