Kabul : Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani and his Pakistani counterpart Mamnoon Hussain have agreed for the formation of an effective political and technical mechanism to assess current issues between both nations.
Both presidents met in Uzbekistan on Friday afternoon to discuss the latest upheavals in the bilateral relations between the two nations, reports Khaama Press.
The meeting comes days after bloody clash took place between the Afghan and Pakistani forces in Torkham which resulted in the closure of the crossing for several days.
Tension between the nations escalated following the construction of a gate by Pakistani side in Torkham which the Afghan officials called a provocative move and violation of an agreement regarding the Durand Line. (ANI)
