Pakistan today summoned Indian High Commissioner TCA Raghavan and lodged a strong protest over alleged ceasefire violations after the army here claimed at least six civilians were killed in firing by Indian troops.
Pakistan Foreign Secretary summoned Raghavan to convey that today’s ceasefire violations by the Indian side were not acceptable, sources said.
The High Commissioner was accompanied by his deputy J P Singh.
Pakistan military claimed at least six civilians were killed and 46 others, including 22 women, were injured in alleged firing from the Indian side in the Charwa Sector near the Sialkot Working Boundary.
This comes less than a week after Pakistan called off the first-ever NSA-level talks between the two countries amid acrimony.
