Pak political party president says Army shouldn’t be treated as domestic servant

Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q) President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has reportedly said that the Army should not be treated as a domestic servant.

Asked whether the way of martial law could be stopped through amendments in the constitution, Ch Shujaat said that as a matter of truth, the institution of Army should be accepted with good intention; the army men should neither be treated as domestic servant nor humiliated, The Nation reported.

He made the statement in reference to the custom followed by Junejo, a Minister of State, who during his tenure did not allow a chair in front of his table and made army officers stand for a couple of minutes before finally providing them with the chair.
