Pak PM’s top aide Aziz says talks with India ‘meaningless’ without ‘Kashmir on agenda’

Pakistan’s National Security adviser Sartaj Aziz said at a joint conference with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry that talks with India would be ” meaningless without the core issue of Kashmir on agenda”.

According to the Express Tribune, Aziz said that Pakistan wanted a dialogue that is oriented towards results and is constructive and sustained on all issues of mutual concern.

Aziz’s statement came after Kerry urged India and Pakistan to return to peace talks.

It was in the mutual interest of both India and Pakistan to move their relationship forward, said the Pakistani Prime Minister’s top aide.

Aziz also said that the unprovoked violence on the Line of Control and working boundary were a matter of serious concern.
