Islamabad: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif today inaugurated Pakistan International Airlines (PIA)’s premier service at the Benazir Bhutto International Airport in Islamabad on the occasion of 70th Independence Day.
Sharif was briefed about the planes acquired from Sri Lanka on wet lease, reports the Express Tribune.
The crew and staff of the service is said to have received training from the Sri Lankan experts.
Sharif saw off the passengers of the first flight of the service which departed for London.
Both heads of PIA and the Sri Lankan Airlines were also present on the occasion. (ANI)
