Pak must act against 26/11 attackers: US

New Delhi, August 12: US Ambassador to India Timothy J. Roemer said on Wednesday that Pakistan must act against Hafiz Saeed, the mastermind of the 26/11 terror attacks.

Roemer said the US wanted a shutdown of terror factories and financing networks across the world. “The US is committed to shutting down terrorist networks and their financing around the world. We want to work with the Indian government to achieve these results. We want to bring the perpetrators of the Mumbai attacks to justice wherever they are,” he said.

Roemer also cleared the air on the Indo-US nuclear deal, saying the end-user agreement did not suggest that the US would have access to Indian nuclear weapons.
