Pak minister says India already enjoying 82pc of MFN benefits

Pakistani Minister of State for Commerce has said that Islamabad had already given New Delhi 82 percent benefits attached to the Most Favorite Nation (MFN) status.

Khurram Dastgir Khan said that the remaining 18 percent benefits were not being given because of political differences, the Nation reports.

The state minister hoped that the next Indian government would make the situation conducive to get the remaining facilities linked to the MFN.

The statement was contrary to what the federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said recently that no proposal was under consideration at any level to give MFN status to India.

Dastagir further said that the matter of granting India a passage of trade to Afghanistan via Wahga border was under consideration and was yet to be decided. (ANI)
