Pak holding India responsible for terrorism ‘utter nonsense’: R.K. Singh

New Delhi, Aug. 20 : Former home secretary and BJP MP R.K. Singh on Thursday said Pakistan’s Interior Minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan holding India responsible for the terrorism in his nation was ‘utter nonsense’ and added that Islamabad is a breeding ground for terrorists from a very long time.

“Unlike Pakistan, we don’t breed terrorists on our ground. The problem with Pakistan is that it has been breeding terrorists on its ground for a very long time. And if you breed snakes, they will turn around and bite you,” he told ANI here.

Commenting on former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah’s criticism over the arrest of separatist leaders, Singh said that he did not know as to why the National Conference leader was unhappy because any nationalist Indian would be happy with the action which the government has taken.

“No nationalist Indian would like people who are against the country going and talking to a country which has been sending terrorists across,” he added.

Omar had in a series of tweets lashed out at both the Centre and the Jammu and Kashmir Government post the arrest of separatist leaders.

“Shame on Mufti Syed for arresting on demand. He had no business following his masters orders & detaining the Hurriyat leaders like this,” Omar tweeted.

“Why?No absence of coordination – centre say arrest so arrested, centre says release so released.Perfect coordination,” he said in another tweet.

Three Kashmiri separatists, who were placed under house arrest this morning, were freed less than two hours later.

Separatist leaders Yasin Malik, Syed Ali Shah Geelani and Mirwaiz Umer Farooq are to meet with Pakistan’s National Security Advisor Sartaj Aziz, who will arrive in India on Sunday to hold talks with his Indian counterpart Ajit Doval. (ANI)
