Pak cricket fraternity prays for Imran Khan following freak accident

Cricketers Shahid Afridi and Inzamam-ul-Haq visited Pakistan politician and former cricketer Imran Khan at the Shaukat Khanum Hospital here, where he is recovering from head and back injuries following a fall from a forklift at a recent party-related election rally.

Simultaneously, according to the Daily Times, the cricket fraternity is praying for his quick recovery, even as hospital doctors confirmed that he is making rapid progress.

Afridi said that Imran was his boyhood hero, while Inzamam said he was taken aback by the accident that befell Imran.

Former Pakistan cricketer Wasim Akram called up at the hospital to inquire after Imran”s health status.

Former West Indian batting star Brian Lara offered his sympathies to Imran on Twitter. (ANI)
