Hyderabad: After getting clearance from Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), “Padmaavat” is ready for release on 25th January. However, protests continue against the movie.
According to the news published in DC, Raja Singh, BJP MLA of Goshamahal asked people to boycott “Padmaavat” movie. Inciting the public, he said that they can register their protests in any manner they like including burning theatres. He further told them to make sure that the film producers incur losses so that in the future they dare not make movies which distort historical facts.
It may be mentioned that earlier, Hyderabad MP Mr. Asaduddin Owaisi had called the movie “Bakwas” and asked the Muslims not to watch it. He told this while addressing a public meeting at Warangal.
Meanwhile, common people rejected these political statements.
Neeru Golconda, a techie said that people are matured enough to decide which movie to be watched and which to be rejected. “Moral policing should be stopped”, Neeru added.
Reacting on the statements of the politicians, Secretary of Telangana State Film Chamber of Commerce (TSFDC), Mr. K Murali Mohan said that after Supreme Court’s order, it becomes the responsibility of the police to make security arrangements.
