Excise Minister T Padma Rao Goud today urged Union Labour & Employment Minister Bandaru Dattatraya and sought his help for sparing 10 acres of Railway land at Lalaguda for constructing two bedroom houses for poor as part of the flagship program of double bed room scheme.
The minister said he called on the Union minister and appealed to him to make arrangements for the allocation of the land to the State government for taking up two bed room houses scheme in Secunderabad segment. Goud also said he will talk to Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu on Tuesday and discuss on the issue and urge him for the railway land.
Padma Rao told mediapersons that he apprised Dattatraya of the readiness of the State government to give alternate land or money for the land value. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has already discussed the issue with the Railway minister in this regard, he said. The State government will take up construction of double bedroom houses in the 10 acres land as soon as the Railway officials transfer it to the State government, he said. “Along with IT & Industries Minister KT Rama Rao, I will also meet Suresh Prabhu in Delhi on August 11 and discuss the issue, he added.
