Paddy procurement: govt. given 3 days time to take measures

Hyderabad, May 23: State opposition TDP has urged the government to take effective measures for paddy procurement immediately and has given a 3 days time to the government in this connection or else it has threatened to siege Chief Minister’s camp office.

Talking to press correspondents during protest dharna here at police station Saifabad Mr. E Dayakar Rao told this and said that the state government is totally ignoring the problems faced by the farmers. While the farmers across the state face lot of financial problems due to non procurement of paddy.

He claimed that the government is just paying lip service and not taking any action. Whereas the fact is that atleast 20 percent paddy has not been procured yet.

Earlier TDP MLAs reached secretariat and protested by hurling paddy in front of Chief Minister’s Samta block.
