Hyderabad: The first meeting of the A.P. State Hajj Committee is meeting at 11:30 a.m. today to select its first chairman. Executive Officer of A.P. State Hajj Committee, Prof. S.A. Sukoor will conduct the election.
It may be noted that Govt. of A.P. issued GO Rt. No 43 on 17th March constituting A.P. State Hajj Committee which includes Mr. Mohammed Ahmed Shareef, MLC, Mr. Shaik Mastan Shareef (ZPTC, Guntur), Mr. T. Mahboob Sahab (MPP, Anantapur), Mr. Shaik Akbar Pasha (Vice MPP, Guntur), Maulana Ilyas (Nellore), Mufti Farooq (Vijaywada), Mr. K. Mohammed Rafi (Nandiyal), Mr. Abdur Rahman (Vishakhapatnam), Mr. Momin Ahmed Husain (Sri Sailam, Karnool), Mr. Haji Shaik Hasan Basha (Guntur), Syed Shah Maqdoom Bukhari (Kadapa), Mr. K. Mohammed Osman (Adhoni, Kurnool) are the members. In addition to these members Chairman, A.P. Wakf Board and Executive Officer of A.P. State Hajj Committee would be ex-officio member and Convener. In the above meeting, Chairman of A.P. State Hajj Committee would be elected.
