HYDERABAD: AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh on Saturday accused Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) Chief Asaduddin Owaisi for supporting the saffron party (BJP) win the Uttar Pradesh election by splitting Muslim votes.
Taking to micro-blogging website Twitter, Mr Singh said tweeted, “Asaduddin Owaisi’s AIMIM fails to win a single seat in UP. “They didn’t win but did help the BJP to win.”

AIMIM had fielded 38 candidates for the Uttar Pradesh but failed to secure a single constituency.
The Hyderabad parliamentarian on Saturday while speaking to the media refused to comment on a question regarding the senior Congress leader. “Just ignore him. He is a joker. Don’t take his name, at least not here (in party headquarters in Darussalaam),” Owaisi had retorted in a jovial manner.
