Owaisi’s entry seems dividing and uniting factor in Bihar

Asaduddin Owaisi leader of All India Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) has made a wild card entry to Bihar Politics . Owaisi’s fiery speeches in Kishanganj targeted RJD and the leaders of the Grand Alliance such as Mohammad Taslimuddin and Maulana Asrarul Haque, a Congress MP.
Ahmed Hasan, health minister in the Akhilesh Yadav government, calls Owaisi a BJP agent.

Owaisi’s presence has always helped the BJP, as it happened during assembly polls in Maharashtra. If he decides to enter the Bihar ring, it could help the BJP -led- alliance.

The BJP is however happy over the development. Its leaders feel that owaisi will further polarize the electorate on religious lines. Amit shah the BJP President sees his chances brightening in the state. where most pre-poll surveys gave the RJD-JD-U-Congress alliance an edge.

Owaisi is going to be both a dividing and a uniting factor in Bihar. While he can divide the Muslim voters, he is going to help the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)consolidate Hindu votes behind it. There is no denying the fact that the one party extremely happy over Owaisi’s entry into Bihar is the BJP.
While Muslim leaders in Uttar Pradesh are speaking out against Owaisi and his brand of hate politics.
Addressing a Muslim gathering recently, Ahmed khan a senior Muslim leader said the Owaisis were doing the BJP’s bidding.
A few more tours by the Owaisi’s can ensure a huge chunk of Hindu votes shifting to the BJP. Where as the Muslim votes will also get divided as the youths see Owaisis as their messiah who speak in tit-for-tat lingo.
