Owaisi takes a dig at Ex–CM Kiran Kumar

AIMIM President and Hyderabad Lok Sabha member Asaduddin Owaisin today had a dig at the erstwhile Congress regime for the utter neglect of the Old City in various aspects.

Speaking at a function organized in connection with the Swatch Hyderabad programme in Dabeerpura area of the old city in which Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao participated, Owaisi highlighted various issues confronting the people of the area especially with regard to civic amenities.

While highlighting the problems being faced by the people, Owaisi took pot shots at the previous Kiran Kumar Reddy government when he made a snide remark without naming him that “ the Old City suffered during the last four years due to the callousness and incompetence of the then CM” due to which the drainage and sanitation in the area are in an awful condition. Even there was acute shortage of drinking water in the area, he said and was thankful the present CM KCR for immediately responding to set right the past mistakes.

Owaisi stressed the urgent need for constructing a water reservoir to mitigate the water needs of the people in the area and also for taking up drainage works on a war footing to which the KCR immediately accepted and gave necessary instructions to the concerned officials. (NSS).
