Owaisa Iqbal belongs to Leh, Ladakh and is very circumspect in choosing her career. After completing her bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering from Chandigarh in 2007, she had decided to pursue either MBA or master degree in Chemical engineering. Then she decided to do something different therefore she made her mind to go for civil services.

Owaisa Iqbal’s father is a farmer by occupation while her mother was a lecturer who died few years ago in a train accident in Hyderabad.

Owaisa Iqbal said ‘my family gets the credit for my success as without their efforts I could not have achieved success.’

In her message to Kashmiri youth she exhorted them to appear for civil services exams and struggle against the injustices done to them. Students appearing for civil services are harassed by some people but youth should prove their mettle regardless of the exploitationary forces. She said.

Civil services exam is not such a difficult task the need is to resolve and persevere, she asserted.
