Overstaying Bangladeshi lover held

Hyderabad, August 20: The Nizamabad police detained a Bangladeshi national, Ms Faroon Begum, 25, at Ansanpally village of Dharpally mandal on Tuesday. She had come here to meet her lover Mr Ravi, 26, of Ansanpally village. The police took her into custody for overstaying and is trying to deport her to Bangladesh.

According to sources, Ms Faroon, a native of Sabargaon near Dhaka in Bangladesh and Mr Ravi became close in 2008 at Dubai. The duo worked as non-teaching staff in a school there.

They were staying in Dubai on visit visas when the Gulf police arrested them and sent them to their native places.

However, both of them remained in touch on cellphones and decided to stay together. Mr Ravi invited Ms Faroon to India and they met in Kolkata six months ago. Ms Faroon reached here on a visit visa which expired recently.

Sensing trouble the couple approached the police for visa permission. Ms Faroon will be shifted to Swadhar home maintained by the women and child welfare department here.

Ravi has already married Ms Faroon is living with her for the last six months in Ansanpally village.
