Hyderabad, January 18: Madannapet police on Monday launched a manhunt for an unidentified man who forced the door of an ATM open and made off over Rs 20 lakh.
According to the police, the robbery occurred in the intervening night of January 14 and 15 at around 12:25 AM, but came to light only on Monday. The unidentified thief entered the ATM Centre of SBH, Saidabad Branch, situated in the Bank premises at Dobhighat Crossroads and forced the cash dispensing machine’s door open.
He collected the money there, amounting to Rs 20,05,100 and left the place.
The police have circulated the thief’s images captured by the surveillance camera inside the ATM, hoping to get leads on his identity.
