As many as 833,377 General and 84,761 Vocational candidates appeared for the English-II paper of Intermediate Public Examinations held across the State on Saturday.
However, a total of 48,906 or 5.33 per cent students abstained from the examination. The authorities have booked 33 cases of malpractice have been booked against the erring students on Saturday. A total of 333 candidates reached the examination hall between 8.45 AM to 9 AM.
The Board of Intermediate Education has sent Observers to Warangal, Nalgonda, Medak and Mahaboobnagar Districts. The Secretary of Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) also visited six centres in Nizamabad town.
All the Regional Inspection Officers were instructed to see that the Xerox machines in the Colleges, Schools and Degree colleges attached to the examination centres and other Xerox centres in the vicinity of the examination centres should remain closed during the examination hours with the help of the local MRO and Police officials.
The examination has been conducted peacefully without any untoward incident. (INN)
