Hajj camp 2014 would begin from September 12. In the first Hajj camp of Telangana state over 7000 intending Hajj pilgrims belonging to 3 states would leave from Hyderabad for Saudi Arabia to perform Holy pilgrimage. A high level review meeting with officials of over 20 government and semi-government departments and institutions was held on Saturday in which all the departments and institutions assured successful conduct of Hajj and provision of every possible facility to the Hajj aspirants.
Deputy Chief Minister Telangana Muhammad Mahmood Ali presided over the review meeting in which high officials of both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana state participated. As per the quota sanctioned by state Hajj Committee departure of 5379 Hajj aspirants has been finalised. Besides this 714 Hajj aspirants of waiting list and 33 from Mahram category will also leave for Holy pilgrimage.
Deputy Chief Minister will flag off the first batch of Hajj aspirants on September 14 while the second batch will be flagged off by Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on September 15.
