Eamcet-2012 convenor Prof N V Ramana Rao on Saturday informed that as many as 3,88,463 applications have been received in engineering, medical and agriculture streams for this year’s test scheduled to be held on May 12.
Talking to media persons, the Convenor said that the EAMCET for engineering stream would be conducted at 559 examination centres and in medical and agriculture, the test would be held at 194 centres across the state. Stating that the candidates would not be allowed to write the examination even if they come late by one minute, he appealed to the aspirants to reach the examination centres before the scheduled time. He said that the candidates could download their hall tickets even before one hour of examination.
Stating that about 800 applications were rejected due to various reasons, the convenor said that 50 applications were received with Rs 10,000 fine so far with the last date concluding on May 9. He appealed to the reserved SC/ST category students to come along with their caste certificates to the examination hall. Otherwise, their candidature would not be considered for EAMCET, he said. (INN)
