Janmabhoomi – Maa Vooru programme has witnessed 2,86,383 women from self-help groups being enrolled for skill upgradation. This is part of the government’s campaign to win over poverty. (Pedarikam Pai Gelupu).
Janmabhoomi has witnessed huge participation from people across the state. The programme was held in all 13 districts, in 976 gram panchayats and 253 municipal wards. Until now, it has been held in 4,211 panchayats and 1062 municipal wards.
The programme was held: In Srikakulam -84 villages and 12 municipal wards, in Vizianagaram – 72 villages and 11 municipal wards, in Visakhapatnam – 73 villages and 15 municipal wards, in East Godavari – 95 villages and 33 municipal wards, in West Godavari – 78 villages and 23 municipal wards, in Krishna districts – 77 villages and 19 municipal wards, Guntur – 84 villages and 30 municipal wards, in Prakasam – 82 villages and 18 municipal wards, in Nellore – 82 villages and 18 municipal wards, in Kadapa – in 58 villages and 20 municipal wards, in Chittoor – 112 villages and 22 municipal wards, in Anantapur – 79 villages and 32 municipal wards.
Pensions worth Rs.47.04 crore were disbursed today across the state. Meanwhile, 43,323 soil health cards were distributed to farmers. A total of 5,32,266 grievances were submitted to the government. (INN)
