Over 20,000 expected for Pakistan-Windies game

Dhaka, March 22: Bangladesh may have crashed from the World Cup, but cricketing authorities here expect a crowd of over 20,000 at the Sher-e-Bangla stadium Wednesday to watch the Pakistan-West Indies quarter final.

“Take it from me. 80 to 90 percent of the stands will be full,” host tournament director Ali Ahsan Babu told IANS.

Babu said most tickets in the 25,000 capacity stadium had been sold out.

With Bangladesh no more in the fray, Pakistan are likely to get the crowd support.
