Hyderabad, December 19: ADP India hosted a Cricket Tournament for its associates to keep the cricket mood alive amongst its 4000+ associates in Hyderabad. This tournament which is into its 4th edition after its launch in 2009 has been witnessing an ever increasing enthusiasm amongst the associates. The tournament witnessed a steep increase in the number of participating teams from 39 teams in the 1st edition to 74 teams in its 4th edition in 2011.
The rules of the tournament are innovatively earmarked to enhance the participation of everybody in ADP India. It was mandatory to include at least one woman employee in each team who has to bowl an over in the first 5 over’s and bat in the top 4 of the batting line up. In sync with the innovative rules of the game even the dition saw teams come up with offbeat names like Biriyani 11, Ismail Bhai Ke Pathe, Sixpaxksingam, Tal Sainik, The Juggernauts, Passion 2 Play, Force India Rebels (FIRE) to name a few.
The 5 week tournament which started off on 19th November 2011 at St. Johns Cricket Academy, Hyderabad saw 67 league matches being played. The two victorious teams’ Kyptonites & Hawks, then locked their horns for the championship wherein Kyptonites won the match by 63 runs.
ADP India is committed to providing associates with a supportive, inclusive work environment. In addition to sporting activities, ADP India has been organizing several creative workshops over the years for associates and their families to create a welcoming environment. In particular during the last few months, ADP India has organized associate workshops such as creating greeting cards, learning self-defense techniques for women, meditation, photography, and theatre, all of which have received a strong response.
