Voters showed their political wisdom during the recent general elections. Elected commission for the first time empowered the voters to choose (None Of The Above) NOTA option to reject all candidates.
The party which claims its popularity and victory on performance, was shocked after learning that thousands of voters rejected its candidates. As per the data received by election commission 11145 voters pressed NOTA button for Hyderabad parliamentary segment and 7 assembly segments to show their bitterness towards sitting MP and MLAs. 5013 voters used NOTA option in Hyderabad Lok Sabha elections while 6132 voters rejected all candidates in 7 assembly consistencies.
The voters of Yaqutpura assembly constituency showed their resentment with Lok Sabha candidate of regional party in such a way that the assembly candidate got more votes than the Lok Sabha candidate.
