Finance Minister Etala Rajender on Tuesday informed that data pertaining to 1,01,93,027 households was collected during the Intensive Household Survey held across Telangana State on August 19.
Replying to a question raised by MIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi, TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy and others during the Question Hour, Etala said the government had spend Rs 20 crore for the survey at the rate of Rs 2 crore per district. He said that the government intends to make use of the data collected through this survey to identify eligible poor persons for extending benefits under various welfare programmes.
Etala also denied allegations that some persons were made ineligible of any government schemes based on the survey. He said steps will be taken to get the households enumerated which were left out during the survey on August 19. (INN)
